I used this recipe as the "backbone" of the soup. I used shredded pork tenderloin (from leftovers), added Mexicorn and black beans, both drained and rinsed to cut sodium. Also I included whole canned tomatoes, fresh celery, onions, bell pepper and garlic. I'm serving with cornbread and/or freshly fried tortilla strips, chopped avocado, and sour cream. Making it one day ahead allows the flavors to meld for a richer, deeper flavor.

I made this recipe tonight. I used ground turkey (browned with bell peppers, onions, and minced garlic), added additional seasonings (cumin, seasoned salt, chili packet, garlic) diced tomatoes, fiesta corn as well as canned corn and canned black beans (rinsed). My family loved it. Said it tasted better than traditional chili. I will definitely make this again. Taking left overs for lunch tomorrow.

Boring. Not a bad, just blah. Had to add more spices to get the family to eat it.

I made this tonight. It was a little bland so added aTBSP of Cumin, a TBSP of Cocoa powder, lots of diced peppers and onions and some red kidney beans. Salt and Pepper as well and a pinch of garlic. Then it was great. :)

I could not find salt-free chili powder, seasoned corn and black beans or tomato sauce for chili. So what I used was a packet of McCormick's mild, lower sodium chili seasoning, a whole can of corn, whole can of black beans and a regular can of tomato sauce. I also sauteed some onions and garlic which I then mixed in with the meat. It was very quick and easy and tasted good. I still felt like it could have used some more seasonings. I'm sure if I would have been able to find the specific ingredients listed, it might have turned out more flavorful. In retrospect, I probably should have added a teaspoon or 2 of some regular chili powder. I'll definitely make this again with some tweaks, as it's an easy recipe to play with. Also, this recipe was only 4 points per serving for Weight Watchers. That's definitely a bonus!

Very good, a great quick dinner! I could not find tomato sauce for chili at my store so I used a can of diced tomatoes for chili and a small can of regular tomato sauce. It was very good.

This chili was really good (and maybe better than my own recipe that I have been making for years!) I did modify it a bit since I was not able to find several of the ingredients. I used a can of black beans and a can of corn both rinsed and drained. I had probably 1.5 - 2 lbs of 93% lean ground beef on hand so I used more beef than called for and I added 1/2 a package of the McCormick chili seasoning while browning the beef. Also had to substitute regular tomato sauce and I added the other half of the McCormick seasoning package to the sauce. Topped with sour cream, green onions, and cilantro.

Om nom. I only gave this recipe 4 stars because I modified it to my own taste. I added some regular white onion which I cooked with my hamburger. I also added black olives (my favorite!) and sriracha to taste. I used canned black beans and corn and it worked fine. It was a perfect recipe for a college student on the go who doesn't have all day to make a standard bowl of chili. I will definitely make it again!

I made this soup because I am a 21 year old college student, so I am always looking for quick and easy recipes (that will also be just as good leftover). I love to cook but don't enjoy fussy recipes when I am just cooking for myself. I tweaked the recipe a little; I sauteed chopped onions in some olive oil before browning the meat. I also added alot more of the chili powder seasoning (2 tsp seemed too bland), and salt and pepper of course. I used 2 cans of southwestern style corn by The Green Giant like others suggested. I gave 4 stars because it was quick, easy, and really good and I will probably make this again.

I enjoyed this alot. Just your basic chili recipe nothing too special but it was good. I'll definitely be turning to this recipe if i'm ever craving chili again. I couldn't find the packaged frozen seasoned corn and black beans so I just used a mexican corn mix (canned) and it worked perfectly fine. Worth a try if you like chili.

Cooked this chili today. Let me say it is quite tasty. My grocery store did not have the frozen black beans and corn. I just use the cans. It worked well. Next time I plan on using 2 cans of the Hunts tomato sauce for chili. Be sure to use sour cream. I will cook this again for sure!

What they say is true - it does taste like it's been cooking for several hours, not for only 30 minutes! I couldn't find the frozen, seasoned black beans and corn, so I used canned beans and frozen corn instead. I will absolutely make this again.

I am not a traditional chili fan, so I am often looking for new ways to make chili without kidney beans. This recipe is very good. It is extremely easy to make and tastes like it has been cooking all day. My grocery store did not carry the pictsweet frozen corn and black beans, so I ended up buying Green Giant's canned southwest corn instead. This can was 12oz, so I used 1.5 cans. The rest of the can could be used to make a salsa. I would recommend using the optional items: sour cream and green onions. They really complete the meal. It was so good, I decided to make it again for the superbowl party!

Very easy to prepare and very tasty! I couldn't find the specially seasoned tomato sauce or the salt-free seasoning , so I substituted a packet of chili seasoning - my entire family enjoyed it! An excellent weeknight meal!

This is a decent recipe, and certainly easy. But, there are much better chili recipes around, including the one I have used before. Good go-to if you're looking for something super quick and easy, but still warm and filling. But if you're looking for the true chili experience - long and slow is the way to go. We also added a LOT more spices than this one called for. Without them, this probably would've been fairly bland.
