What are Hibachi Noodles?

Homemade Hibachi Noodles are one of our favorite sides to make on the griddle. These noodles are stir fried to a soft noodle on your Blackstone. Tossed in a garlic and soy sauce mix that gives them so much flavor.

These noodles are Japanese Steakhouse inspired side that is cooked to perfection on the Blackstone. We recommend cooking them after making your meats so it adds to the flavor from the meat.

What kind of Noodle is Used for Hibachi?

There are many noodles to choose from when making Hibachi noodles. These are some of our favorites. You will not a noodle labeled Hibachi Noodles. It is how the noodle cooked and the seasoning that makes it Hibachi.

  • Yakisoba Noodle – This is a Chinese Noodle
  • Lo Mein Noodle – Lo Mein Noodle is what we usually use. Simple and can be found at your local grocery store.
  • Angel Hair Pasta – This is a simple thin noodle that works well with this recipe.
  • Udon Noodles – This is a thick, white noodle served in a broth with fish.
  • Ramen Noodles – Ramen Noodles is a good substitute as well.
  • Gluten-free Noodles – Any Gluten free noodles will work great.

  • Noodles – You can use also use rice noodles or linguine instead of the lo mein noodles if you prefer.

How to Make Hibachi Noodles on Blackstone Noodles:

  • Step 1 – Prepare Blackstone Grill – Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (400 degrees F).
  • Step 2 – Cook Noodles – Cook the noodles based on the package instructions to al dente.
  • Step 3 – Mix together seasoning – In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, salt, pepper and sesame oil until well combined.

  • Step 4 – Melt Butter on Grill – Melt the butter on the grill. Then add in the garlic and sauté for 30-60 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
  • Step 5 – Toss noodles in seasoning – Then toss in the cooked noodles. Pour the sauce on top of the noodles and toss to thoroughly coat the noodles with the sauce mixture. Sauté for a few minutes.

  • Step 6 – Serve and Enjoy – Remove from the grill, top with the sesame seeds and drizzle with sesame oil and enjoy!

How to Cook Hibachi Noodles in a Skillet

You do not have to have a Blackstone to make this recipe. You can use an indoor griddle or a large skillet. Follow the directions, as stated but use a large skillet instead.

Hibachi is based on the seasoning that is used. When preparing to put the cook noodles on the grill, you want to make sure that it full of garlic flavor. Other important Hibachi seasoning is the ginger and sesame seeds.
