Is Alma laser Soprano Ice any good? ›

On average, after 8-10 treatments, 80-90% of unwanted hair will be eliminated, and you can treat any subsequent hair growth with a touch-up treatment as needed.

How many treatments will I need with Soprano Titanium? Depending on the patient's skin and hair type, results are typically seen following 6 to 8 treatment sessions.

IPL laser hair removal is just less effective than the Soprano ICE laser hair removal machine. IPL laser hair removal treatments cannot treat all skin types. The machines only work on fair skin with dark hair. It does not work on blonde hair, and is ineffective on Asian, African, and Latina women.

Some people do experience mild sensitivity or redness in treated areas. So we recommend using cold Aloe Vera gel to help soothe and calm the area. After the treatment session, avoid hot baths, showers and saunas and also swimming as the chemicals in the water may cause irritation.

Over a week or so, the hair over the treated skin is going to fall out. You should protect your treated skin from excessive heat for about 24 hours after your treatment, so hold off on the sauna or hot tub until at least a full day has passed.

Soprano Titanium treatments are faster and more effective

This is due to the fact that traditional lasers will only have the capability to target one follicle at a time, or a small area of hair at best. Old, traditional devices take longer, and don't always reliably provide the results you need.

The Soprano ICE's three different applicators come with a 1cm² spot size. The Soprano ICE Platinum's Trio applicator with a 2cm². The new Soprano Titanium however, boasts a 4cm² applicator — enabling treatments of large areas in 50% of the time. To put in other words it is nearly twice as fast.

The Soprano ICE machine is the best device for facial hair removal treatments, and can give you a hairless look in no time. You may start to see some new hairs growing after your treatment. This is normal, as the treated follicle still grows new hairs even after the laser is applied.

The laser tip/window is twice the size on the Soprano Ice Titanium compared to the older Soprano Ice Platinum. This means that treatment times can be reduced by 50% on larger areas. This is a huge advantage as it means that full body treatments no longer take over 2 hours to complete.

Luckily, over a decade ago Alma has developed the SHR technology which employs an “In-Motion” technique that vastly reduces discomfort during the hair removal treatment to a point it is virtually painless. Soprano ICE with the 755 nm applicator combines all the advantages of the Alexandrite laser and of the diode laser. The treatment results have been very good, even better than those of all other hair removal lasers I have used in the past.

Most laser hair removal treatments require multiple sessions to disable your hair follicles from growing back again altogether. Follow-up sessions are typically spaced with a six-week interval each to get the most out of the procedure. For people with particularly thick hair in that area, repeat sessions are critical.

So which one of the Soprano lasers is better? Even though we've learned both the treatment safety, comfort and effectiveness can be similar between the three devices, it is clear the newest Soprano laser device, the Special Edition of Soprano Titanium has a clear edge for both patient and operator.
